An increase in early stock of the Galaxy S8 seems to be in work, from the earlier mentioned stock of 10 million units to now a staggering 17 million units on release date. This is, the first number of devices to be sold all over the world to various vendors.

According to a report, out of the 17 million devices, only 6 million Galaxy S8 Plus phones will be released on the first shipment. An increase in stock will be observed later. The Galaxy S8 offers an increased battery capacity and a larger screen.

This production ramp up may be caused by the general troubles faced by the company as of recently with the faulty Galaxy Note 7 to the fire engulfing the Samsung battery manufacturing company.

According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be released on 29th march this year and may cost a tidy sum of $850 upon release.
