HTC Vive is one of the most gossiped VR device for a long time. Yesterday HTC revealed the price of their VR device which will cost around $799. Today HTC revealed HTC Vive PC specifications. The price was revealed on Computerbild. If you don’t know about the package well the HTC Vive will ship at $799 which will include the VR headset aside from that it will also include two controllers and a couple of Lighthouse (laser beam station) which will allow users to enable tracking indoor.

Here is what the HTC stated and following are the recommended HTC Vive PC specifications.

We’ve tested systems and worked with industry-leading PC manufacturers to optimize PCs for use with Vive. These systems are fully Vive-compatible right out of the box featuring jaw-dropping graphic capabilities and breathtaking audio output for a superior VR experience.

HTC Vive PC Specifications (Recommended)

GPU: – NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 970 / AMD Radeon™ R9 290 equivalent or greater
CPU: – Intel® i5-4590 / AMD FX 8350 equivalent or greater
RAM: – 4GB+
Video Output: – HDMI 1.4 or DisplayPort 1.2 or newer
USB Port: – 1x USB 2.0 or greater port
Operating System: – Windows 7 SP1 or newer

You’ll notice that in contrast to Oculus Rift, HTC Vive only 4GB or Ram. Also USB 3.0 connection is recommended for Oculus Rift whereas HTC recommends USB 2.0 connection.

Aside from the price and specifications HTC also updated their site with which they call Vive Ready PC’s.

    That s around US$200 more than the Oculus Rift , which itself was panned for being rather expensive. The Vive VR will also come with two wireless controllers providing haptic feedback as well. There are also two games offered initially.
